The Magical Creation Box

This is another method of focusing on the things you desire and  is similar to using a vision board.  Use it when you want to give the Universe more specific details about what you want out of life.

I learned this method from a very interesting book I am reading at the moment called
“Ask and it is Given.” Learning to Manifest the Law of Attraction, by Esther and Jerry Hicks. Thanks Abraham.

Getting started: First find yourself a nice looking box. Any box that appeals to you is fine. Make sure it’s a decent size!

Write on it the words “Whatever is contained in this box – IS!

Next, gather magazines and catalogues and begin cutting out pictures of things that exemplify any desires that you hold. Clothes, cars, furniture, images of physical characteristics, overseas holidays; anything that appeals to you. Place the cut outs in your box. If you witness something you’d like to experience, write it down and put it in the box too. You get the idea. The more you clip tha better you’ll feel. You can also put mental images into your box. A blue sky, a sunny day; happy people or a great trip. If you like it, put it in your magical creation box.

The Law of Attraction delivers what you think about, and so this is a powerful process as it helps you to visualise. The more ideas you drop into your box, the more your desire will be focused and your dreams will begin to manifest.

LOA ~ Charles Haanel

“The pre-dominant thought or the mental attitude is the magnet, and the law is like attracts like, consequently, the mental attitude will invariably attract such conditions as correspond to its nature”

Charles Haanel is the author of “The Master Key System”. This quote is an early form of “The Law of Attraction”; what you think about will come about, it doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad. Use it to your advantage!

Dream Books & Vision Boards

To manifest your dreams you must convince your subconcious mind that they have already been achieved. To do this you must visualise them as though you already have them. Make a ‘mental movie’ and play it over and over. Your subconcious mind cannot differentiate between what is real and what is not. It will pick up on the things you hold in your mind and make them reality.

A couple of great strategies to help  you visualise your goals are  “Dream Books” and “Vision Boards”. We were introduced to these techniques by Kurek Ashley, an Australian based “Life Success Coach” and founder of the “Life Success Club”.

Dream Books

These are just small notebooks…we had one each and we carried these around with us for years. In them we’d written our dreams, goals and intentions,  as well as motivational quotes and anything else we felt important to us on on our journey to self-improvement and achieving financial freedom. We read each others books now and then to make sure we were striving for the same things! Double power.

My book included my goals with dates to have achieved them by,  ‘my purpose for achieving my goals’, ‘my purpose in life’ and how I wanted my life to be in all areas, in bold colours! It also contained several affirmations. One I liked was: “Life is so good, life is so easy, all good things come to me”.  I read these at least once a day and visualised my goals as if I already had them, then I gave thanks for receiving  them. Gratitude is very powerful.

Vision Boards

Our vision boards sat on our dining room table so we couldn’t help but see them every day. We had two boards with pictures and photos of what we wanted in life pinned all over them. One was for the future life we dreamed of in Australia (the above photo of me and our son on Noosa Beach was pinned on this board. We now live near here and swim at this beach!), the home we wanted, lifestyle, friends etc;  and another vision board for other things we wanted to do in life  e.g travel to Africa, South America and Cuba, drive sports cars, own a boat etc
Soon the pictures became so familiar we could see them with our eyes closed.  With these and our dream books the universe was certainly left in no doubt what we wanted!

Then we saw “The Secret” and realised that we had been using the Law of Attraction all along without realising it. Visualisation is the key. Now we knew exactly what to do we visualised like crazy and our dreams rapidly began to manifest themselves.

NB. If  you are making your own vision board make sure that you are included in the photos you use (even if it means cutting out tiny pictures of yourself to glue on to them!). The universe will give you what you think about. If  you concentrate on an empty sportscar, you will never be in it! Wave as you see it driving the other way down the street!

Looking back at our dream books now, we are amazed by how a lot of the things we had visualised were achieved, eerily near the dates we had set.  The vision boards made visualising our desires much easier. We were immersed in them.

We still use our dream books. Not all our goals have manifested yet, but we know they will come.

Try these simple techniques. You may not achieve your goals overnight (though the universe does like speed!), but commit to them and watch the magic happen!

Beware of Your Dreams

Dad & dogs“Beware of Your Dreams Lest You Achieve Them,” my father always said.

It wasn’t until many years later that I truly understood the meaning and importance of his words.  In place of ‘dreams’ put ‘ thoughts’ and you have The Law of Attraction!

If you hold something in your mind, visualise it and feel it in your being for long enough, it will manifest itself into your life. If you believe it you will see it!

So, now you know this don’t dwell on anything that you don’t want! Things are not brought into being by thinking about their opposites. If you want to be healthy don’t concentrate on sickness; if you want to be rich don’t think about poverty. Don’t put anything into your mind that you don’t want to perpetuate or experience.

My father always dreamt of owning a large sheep and cattle farm. For a boy brought up just north of London, this was indeed a grand vision. He took a ‘ten pound passage’ on a boat to Australia in his early twenties; later moving to New Zealand and working as a farm labourer until he built up a down payment for a small farm. These days he farms 7000 acres of land in the South Island of NZ.  Dream achieved!

For more on this subject I would recommend reading “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles. “The Secret” is also excellent, concentrating on The Law of Attraction.

Wayne Dyer ~ LOA

No, I didn't want this car crash

“What you really, really want, you’ll get. And what you really, really don’t want, you’ll also get. What you are focused on in your mind is what you attract. Like attracts itself to like. Once you know that what you think about is what expands, you have to get really careful about what you think about.”

~ Dr Wayne Dyer, Your Erroneous Zones

Escape the Rat Race; Read these Books

Great booksHere are ten of the many great titles that helped us on the road to financial freedom:

Rich Dad Poor Dad ~ Robert Kiyosaki
Cash Flow Quadrant ~ Robert Kiyosaki
Retire Young Retire Rich ~ Robert Kiyosaki
Think and Grow Rich ~ Napolean Hill
The Science of Being Rich ~ Wallace D. Wattles
The Secret ~ Rhona Byrne
The Power of Intention ~ Dr Wayne W. Dyer
Conversations with God 1-3 ~ Neale Donald Walsche
Your Best Life Now ~ Joel Osteen
The 4- Hour Workweek ~ Timothy Ferriss

These books have been indispensible to us; a quick precis:

Firstly, Rich Dad paved the way with his lessons on handling money and the importance of being financially literate. A great start.

Napolean Hill introduced the importance of the “Power of the Mind”‘ along with Wallace D. Wattles who had a mental and spiritual approach to getting rich. Wallace D. Wattles ‘thinking stuff’ was an early forerunner to the “Law of Attraction”, a la “The Secret”. The LOA is a very popular concept nowadays and rightfully so, though it’s nothing new.

Dr Wayne Dyer’s book is in a similar vein, the “Power of Intention” being a force in the universe that allows the act of creation to take place. I love his meditation CD, “Getting in the Gap” also.

The “Conversations With God” series is for the open minded. God spoke to Neale Donald Walsche! The  ‘conversation’ is riveting and answers many questions about life, the universe and everything. I really enjoyed these books, though they made my head spin for a while!

Joel Olsteen is a senior pastor at Lakewood Church, Houston. He is quite progressive and open-minded and his book, about living at your full potential, is inspiring.

Tim Ferriss is a radical (in the nicest way of course!) and wraps up this list well. His book, “The 4-Hour Workweek” is about throwing out old outdated concepts and living your life as you want it. He calls it ‘lifestyle design’. Very interesting.

The “Law of Attraction” Works!

Beautiful Sunshine BeachI’ve got another hot tip for you; the Law of Attraction works!

Now, I’m not going into a lot of detail about LOA here. For that I suggest you read
The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. But, in short, the  LOA states “Like attracts Like” so whatever you think about comes about. Your thoughts create your reality. It’s the secret to life.

Now for all the doubting Thomas’ out there, I thought I’d give you a few examples of what the Law of Attraction has done for us, but firstly I want to say that we were quite a long way along the track to financial freedom by the time we learnt about the LOA, but somehow we couldn’t make the final break-through. The LOA did it for us.

When we first started out we watched “The Secret” DVD over a dozen times. On the DVD Joe Vitale advocates just asking the Universe for what you want “Like you’re ordering it from a catalogue”.
As a test run we decided to ask for $50,000. We had no idea where it was going to come from, but we gave ourselves til the end of the month to achieve this. Only a few days later my husband’s superannuation statement arrived in the mail. There was exactly $50,000 more in the account than we expected. We were blown away!

For several years now we’ve had dream boards (also known as vision boards) on which we’ve pinned pictures of all our goals and dreams. They were on our dining room table so we saw them constantly throughout the day.
One board had all the things we wanted regarding our future life in Australia. The other was more general; places we wanted to visit etc. On it I had a picture of a sportscar that I really liked, with a little picture of me pinned on it (our son called it “tiny mummy”!). Well, within a couple of months I got an Alfa Romeo TS147! The business had done well and my husband decided it was time to reward me for all my efforts! We never spent money on extravangances like this!! I’d driven rust buckets all my life. Wow, I liked this LOA stuff!

See this photo of Sunshine Beach in Queensland, Australia? It was on our dream board. We now live there. We walk on this beach every day. It really is so astounding that we pinch ourselves (well, we pinch each other actually…it’s more fun!) to make sure we’re not dreaming!

You can attract what you want too.  Know what you want and visualise it as though it’s already happened; as if you already have achieved your goal.

Ask, Believe, Receive! It is yours. Good luck!

Attracting by Feeling

Noosa Beach“We do not attract what we want, but attract what we are.”
~ Quote by James Lane Allen

According to The Law of Attraction we are attracting to us all the time, whether we’re aware of it or not. It is as if we were living magnets which attract what we’re feeling about rather than what we’re thinking about.

Most people believe that if they just think positively that’ll be enough, but our universe is a ‘feeling universe’…thoughts of what we want don’t quite get us there.

To attract what you want in life, you must feel what you desire in your own reality and feel good about it. This will attract more good feelings and more things to feel good about.

Thoughts of ‘wanting’ just bring more wanting; instead feel that you already have whatever it is that you want to manifest. All forms of matter and energy are attracted to that which is of a like vibration.

Your Thoughts are Powerful

“You create your thoughts, your thoughts create your intentions, your intentions create your reality. Learn to act as if the life you visualize were already here.”~Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

“The only thing between you and your desire to be successful and wealthy is one single fact: you are not successful or wealthy because of how you think. This little known fact keeps many from reaching their goals of success and wealth… “

Law of Attraction and The Art of Money

How’s your relationship with money these days? If money could talk, what would it say about you?

Have you told it lately you love it? Is it good to you? Or do you take each other for granted, have a love/hate relationship, or maybe pretend to ignore each other?
If you want to change the way money shows up in your life, change your relationship with it. By making friends with money, you open up to an abundant flow of it in your life.

Money = Energy

What is money, anyway? It’s the same thing everything is: energy. That’s it. Period. Nothing tricky, good, bad, right or wrong. It’s just energy. Same as me, you, water, oxygen, everything.

But that’s not what we’ve made up about it, is it? We inherited stories about money that make it out to be some big hairy deal. We think it’s hard to come by, we gotta be careful with it, it’s the root of all evil, etc. Listen, money isn’t any different than everything else in the world. When we relax about money, it comes to us as easily as everything else we don’t have a charge on.

For example, I like dogs. They show up for me in abundance (to my absolute delight). In fact, just today an ex-fiancé asked me to take his 8 month old golden lab. You know why this happens? Because I love dogs, they love me, Universe feels me on that and delivers.

Can you imagine your ex stopping by to unload some cash on you? Can you visualize him telling you he’s got this extra money he hasn’t been able to manage, the neighbors are complaining, and it would be really helpful and he’d be super grateful if you’d just take this money off his hands?

If you had an easy, abundant story about money, trust me – it would happen.

Money Translated

What do you have a nice easy story about? Friends? Shoes? Bottled water? Can you imagine feeling that same way about money? See if you can spot the difference in how you feel about something abundant in your life versus money. Is there a difference? If there is a difference, this is your wake-up call to change your money vibe.

Money flows easily when we change our thinking about it. I think about money the way I do dogs. I love it. It’s all good. There’s lots of it. In fact, lots of folks don’t know how to handle it properly, and it naturally finds its way to me. I love taking care of it. I never have too much of it. You don’t know what to do with it? Call me. I’ve got a system; I’m connected; I can help.

Can you feel the vibe I’m running about money? It’s as easy as dogs.

Take the Charge Off

Now for those of you who flinched in reading that prior paragraph because it felt greedy, immoral or uncomfortable, you might want to check in on your beliefs about money. There’s nothing wrong with money. Life works well when we have it. Would you blame someone for amassing more than “their share” of postcards? Probably not, huh? Take the charge off money. It’s just energy. There’s plenty of it for all of us. All we gotta do is let it in.

What do you have an abundance of? What comes easily to you? Translate that feeling to how you feel about money and the green stuff will show up in droves. Change the way you feel about money, and money has to change the way it treats you.
